Katta Spiel // Wien: Does it matter? Identity in Participatory Research

In participatory research, we engage creatively with other people in often long and intense collaborations. I illustrate how being queer shapes my participatory encounters and affects physical designs and epistemological outcomes. Through a series of case studies with autistic children, I make the argument that regardless of how researchers identify, their identity plays a crucial role in conducting participatory research.
