On the occasion of the anniversary year, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar will be supporting projects that deal with the ideas, history, and development of Bauhaus. The projects submitted by students, research assistants, professors, and alumni will all play a major role in the University’s anniversary programme, an overview of which can be found on this site.
Projects
Reinvention of Matter
At the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, the value of used goods has been reassessed and questioned in a collaboration between artists who examine a find and environmental engineers who deal with infrastructure for waste and water. The used material, which is still referred to as rubbish, waste or sewage, gains a new perspective through the consideration and symbolisation of its constant change and transformation.
Phosphorus Donation
With the P-BANK, an interactive toilet, the Bauhaus Institute for Infrastructure Solutions is highlighting the environmental topics of the phosphorus shortage and the circulation of nutrients.
