The jury at the conference organised by the TYPO3 Open Source Content Management System stated that the exceptional and contemporary design of the anniversary website, as well as the stringent technical implementation, were the decisive factors. The design concept is very straightforward and at the same time extremely user-friendly. It features clear references to the historical Bauhaus style and interprets them in a new and refreshing way. It was also emphasised that the page layout of the mobile-optimised site loaded very quickly.
The design was created by the Leipzig-based agency Happy Little Accidents as an essential element of the entire corporate identity for the »Bauhaus100« anniversary at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. The Jena-based agency TRITUM was responsible for programming, solving the demanding task of converting the sketches into effective web design and linking them to the TYPO3 backend of the general university website.
Via its anniversary website »Bauhaus100«, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar provides fast and straightforward information and details on all events and happenings within the framework of the Bauhaus anniversary. Useful tips for visiting Weimar can be found on the site as well as extensive project presentations, event announcements, and dates, picture galleries, the Bauhaus.Podcast episodes, and much more.
The TYPO3 awards ceremony took place on 17 October 2019 in the Dutch city of The Hague, within the context of the »T3CON« conference. The award is given to websites that were recently launched and professionally implement the latest CMS implementations. The jury reviewed a total of almost 200 entries and awarded prizes in 17 categories.
»T3CON« is a conference for international TYPO3 programmers who meet over two days and discuss new developments in the Open Source CMS sphere and create interfaces between content management technology and universities, business, NGOs and governments. The TYPO3 Award was presented for the fifth time in 2019.
