The »Liebling Haus« in the White City Centre of the Israeli city of Tel Aviv is considered a precedent for the »White City«. In this exhibition, its architecture will be presented through methods of documentation and digital analysis by the Centre for Documentary Architecture (CDA) with the aim of better understanding the complex history of the »White City«. Further focal points will be the associated migration history as well as the logistical expenditure of components and materials from Germany to Palestine in the 1930s.
The project exhibition will combine film and archive studies, material analyses and digital architectural surveys in a comprehensive data platform, thus presenting architecture as a document of historical and political relations. At the same time, »The Matter of Data. In the footsteps of Modern Bauhaus Design« will be on show in the Liebling Haus in Tel Aviv until 1 April 2020.
