Israeli Film Programme at the Mon Ami Cinema for the »Triennial of Modernism«

The Chair of Media Events at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar will be showing an Israeli film programme in the presence of the filmmakers from 27 to 29 September in cooperation with the Mon Ami cinema.

The film series kicks off with the German-Israeli anthology film »Bauhaus Remains« which is now celebrating its European premiere in Weimar, following its world premiere in Tel Aviv. In addition, documentary-style short films created by students of the University of Tel Aviv and the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar will also be presented, which deal with the legacy of the Bauhaus.

Filmmakers from both countries will be present at the premiere and answer questions from the audience. More films by young Israeli directors will be shown on Saturday, 28 September at 11 am at the Mon Ami cinema in cooperation with the backup & beyond film festival and the ACHAVA Festival Thüringen.

More information as well as the complete programme are available at:

The film programme was presented by Nicola Hens and Prof. Wolfgang Kissel from the Chair of Media Events at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar; it was jointly developed by Eti Tsiko and Ran Tal from the University of Tel Aviv, as the international teaching project »B is for Bauhaus. T is for Tel Aviv«. Financial support has been provided by the German-Israeli Future Forum, the Kreativfonds (funding programme for creative works) of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Merkurbank and, from Israel, the Blavatnik Student Film Production Fund and the NFCT Fund.
