Bauhaus Museum Weimar opens

The new Bauhaus Museum in Weimar opens this Friday 5 April 2019. After the official ceremony in the afternoon, the museum will be opened to the public for a celebration at around 9 pm – anyone interested can look round the new museum until midnight.

Entry to the Bauhaus Museum will also be free to all visitors on the Saturday and Sunday. The city and the Klassik Stiftung are offering a varied programme in the district between the Weimarhallenpark and the Neues Museum with concerts, lectures, cinema, electronic music and DJs, bringing the »Modern Quarter« to life for the first time with lights and sounds. Both museums (the Bauhaus Museum and the Neues Museum) and open-air spaces will host celebrations, shows, dancing, craftwork and discussion.
