The book shows the university as a place where people come together to research, discuss and shape the present together. This atmosphere is also conveyed by the black and white photographs by Samuel Solazzo and Jannis Uffrecht, which flank and visually frame the contributions. Both photographers went to different places at the university during the anniversary year and accompanied different events. In this way, they have succeeded in creating an independent portrait of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. 100 of their photographs are on display in the Main Building from 13 December 2019 to 31 January 2020.
On the occasion of the book presentation, Prof. Dr. Gerd Zimmermann, who served as President of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar for several terms of office between 1992 and 2011, will give a short welcoming speech.
